The iconic Penguin embroidery originated when a Munsingwear salesman found a glock of penguins in the window of a New York taxidermist. On a whim the salesman walked in and bought one of the stuffed birds. From that moment forward "Pete" (the stuffed penguin) became the official mascot and logo of Penguin.
